My name is David, and I live in Alicante, Spain. With over 10 years of experience teaching Spanish, I specialize in business, tourism, and DELE exam preparation through the Miguel de Cervantes University. My background includes living in Zurich, Switzerland, where I learned German, and traveling extensively across Europe, which has enriched my English skills.
My teaching methodology is distinct and customized for each student’s needs. I design lessons based on your level, age, learning challenges, and preferred learning style. Does Spanish seem chaotic to you?
Do you feel lost among its tenses, pasts, and futures? Maybe you've tried learning on your own but haven't been able to make much progress. When someone speaks to you in Spanish, do you only understand half of what they’re saying? Don’t worry, I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve had to learn other languages myself and understand how frustrating it can be.
With over 10 years of experience teaching private classes to hundreds of students, I am familiar with the common difficulties and barriers to learning Spanish. Everyone faces similar challenges, but with the right approach, they can be overcome.
My method is unique: we start with real Spanish as it's used in Spain. Once you have the basics down, we gradually introduce grammar, increasing the difficulty step by step. I also create a customized program tailored to each student’s level and needs.
My classes are highly interactive. We don’t just study theory; I also challenge you to make real calls to Spanish restaurants and hotels for making and canceling reservations, for example. This practical approach will help you build confidence quickly.
My classes consist of three parts:
Review of homework: Reinforcement of previously learned material.
Grammar: Clear and applicable explanation of rules.
Conversational practice: Focused on pronunciation and comprehension, where you actively use what you’ve learned.
