About Hasina
I am a British-born South Asian with a lifelong passion for food and cooking. My love of cooking began at a young age, spending time in the kitchen with my mum and learning the traditional family recipes that have been passed down through generations. Coming from a large family, food has always been at the heart of our gatherings, bringing people together and creating lasting memories.
Over the years, I have enjoyed sharing my passion for cooking with my younger nephews and nieces, ranging from 8 to 35 years old, teaching them how to prepare their favourite dishes and helping them become more confident and independent in the kitchen. Seeing others gain confidence and enjoyment through cooking is one of the reasons I love teaching.
I am also an avid traveller, and experiencing different cuisines and flavours from around the world has inspired my love of fusion cooking. I enjoy combining traditional South Asian flavours with popular dishes from other cultures to create exciting and approachable recipes.
Alongside my passion for food, my professional role involves working with vulnerable adults who face a variety of challenges. This has helped me develop qualities that I bring to my teaching, including patience, empathy, calmness, good listening skills, and a friendly, supportive approach. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I strive to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and inspired to bring out the chef in themselves.

With over 20 years of experience cooking for family, friends, and large family gatherings, I have developed a passion for creating delicious, approachable food that brings people together. I specialise in traditional South Asian home cooking, popular snacks, comforting curries, and fusion dishes inspired by flavours from around the world.
My teaching style is relaxed, friendly, and laid back, helping students feel at ease in the kitchen regardless of their experience level. I believe cooking should be enjoyable, not intimidating, and I aim to build confidence while showing that great food can be simple and fun to make.
My easy-to-follow recipes have attracted a social media community of over 100,000 followers, where I share practical recipes that people cook successfully at home every day. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to expand your skills, I will help bring out the chef in you and give you the confidence to create delicious dishes for yourself, your family, and your friends.
I can also speak Bengali, Hindi and Urdu for lessons to be taught in these languages too.
