About Abongile

I have been tutoring for over 5 years.

Xhosa is my native language and I love it. I am also fully multilingual, I can speak English, Zulu, and Afrikaans. I started learning Afrikaans from Primary School right through to High School. I use it daily in my place of work with colleagues and friends.

I am confident that I can teach anyone to speak my language with confidence and pride. It is a beautiful language.

About the lesson

Learn to speak Xhosa fluently. Hold a conversation at school or in the workplace. I will teach you at your own pace.

I do one-on-one lessons, and I am also available on Online platforms such as Skype, Hangouts, Zoom, etc. I teach Grade 4 - 12 learners as well as adults who want to speak and communicate using the language.

I have 5 years of experience teaching IsiXhosa and I have spoken it my entire life. I love people and I love those who love to learn and I love sharing. When you take a chance on me, not only will you be getting a tutor who will teach you the language but a person who has so much pride in being Xhosa that I go beyond the classroom and share with you an expirience.

James and his partner Pauline are an absolute pleasure to teach. I love that they actually engage in the lessons and are eager to learn. They always ask questions and make me think outside the box, they both make teaching Xhosa so much fun. I love that even when I create new activities for them they are eager to learn and use the language and make it fun.
