About Melodie
I’m a native Spanish speaker raised by Colombian parents, and I visit Colombia every year, so I stay deeply connected to both the language and the culture. I currently work at a high school supporting ESL students from Latin America, where I translate daily and teach them English through real-life communication and cultural understanding. My experience in education and translation means I bring both patience and practicality to every lesson. I know what it’s like to learn a new language, and I tailor my Spanish classes to meet you where you are, whether you’re starting fresh, reconnecting with your roots, or looking to improve fluency for work or travel. In my classes, we focus on speaking, reading, and expanding vocabulary in a way that’s natural and engaging, always grounded in real-life use.
