About A
I am a former teacher and university lecturer and am currently working as a scientist in climate and environment. I have travelled more than 35 countries, many of them with my children who have been living schooling. I speak German, English, Swedish and Spanish at native or almost native level. My wife is a native Spanish speaker and my children also speak Spanish fluently - so I have been having a lot of opportunities to perfect my Spanish. I also have extensive living and travelling experiences from Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina and Chile.

Since I have very different students, I always adapt my teaching to the needs of each individual student to make the experience as effective and enjoyable as possible for the student. I take into account the learning goals and the possible difficulties such as the time a student can commit. An important method that I always apply is introducing original texts and reading books as early as possible and help students to truly enjoy that experience. So far I have always succeeded in getting practically all students to enjoy reading (often to the astonishment of parents and students). For adults in professional life, I put a lot of emphasis on speaking freely and training listening skills. This can also include preparation for interviews.
