About Gene
With decades of experience teaching Spanish and working in the language services industry, Gene Rainone brings a wealth of knowledge and a practical approach to helping students learn Spanish.
Gene spent 14 years living in Ecuador, where he developed a deep understanding of the Spanish language and Latin American culture. He later taught Spanish at community colleges throughout Western North Carolina and has authored nine Spanish-language textbooks designed to help students build their language skills and confidence.
Gene Rainone has over 33 years experience teaching Spanish on the college level. He has co-authored 9 textbooks on all levels of Spanish-language education. Mr. Rainone has been a Medical, Legal and Educational Interpreter for many years.
If you are an adult wishing to learn a new language you will need TWO approaches. You need a base of academic Spanish but the academic approach is NOT sufficient. You will also need Conversation practice. Conversation practice alone is not sufficient if you are an adult. You need both.
Gene's method is successful because students receive this 2-pronged approach. There are homework assignments between classes. Classes are given in English in the lower levels.
