About Kaye

With over ten years of university teaching experience in China, I am currently a PhD student in Asian Studies at Victoria University of Wellington. With a background in language and cultural research, I believe learning Mandarin is not only about words and grammar but also about understanding the culture behind communication. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can build their Mandarin skills at their own pace and gain confidence in using the language in everyday situations.

About the lesson

Lessons are customized to your learning goals and interests, focusing on practical Mandarin skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, but the length can be adjusted to suit your needs. I am happy to work with you to develop a learning plan that matches your goals and pace. Whether you are a beginner or already know some Mandarin, I aim to make learning practical, engaging and enjoyable.
