About Joana

Hi! I’m Joana, a native Portuguese speaker from Portugal, currently based in London.

I’m an actress and singer, and I love languages, communication and connecting with people from different backgrounds. As someone who works with voice, expression and storytelling, I know how important it is to feel comfortable expressing yourself and not be afraid to make mistakes.

Portuguese is my mother tongue, and I’m passionate about sharing not only the language but also the culture, expressions and little details that make Portuguese unique.

I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I believe learning a language should be an enjoyable experience. Whether you’re learning Portuguese for work, travel, family, relationships or simply out of curiosity, I’d love to help you on your journey!

My lessons are interactive, relaxed and practical, combining conversation, pronunciation, useful everyday expressions and exam preparation to help you feel more confident speaking European Portuguese.

We’ll learn at your pace, build on your strengths and work on the areas where you need the most support. Whether you need help with grammar, vocabulary, speaking, writing or exam techniques, I’ll adapt each lesson to your needs. Mistakes are part of the process, so there’s no pressure to be perfect!

My goal is to make every lesson enjoyable, personal and meaningful, so you can see your progress and start speaking Portuguese more naturally, one lesson at a time.
