About Ryota

【About Me】 Born in Amakusa, Kumamoto Prefecture. My experience as a model in high school and as an actor in college sparked my interest in people and the world of expression. Later, I participated in a long-term exchange program in Taiwan, where I won an award in a photo contest. I have been involved in various creative fields, including not only photography but also design, video, and web production. Utilizing these experiences, I value capturing not only the photograph itself, but also the time when the person is able to be themselves naturally and the atmosphere of that moment. 【Personality】 I am very curious and love talking to people. I travel frequently both domestically and internationally, enjoying encounters with new people and the unique atmosphere of each place. Thankfully, people often ask me for directions, both in Japan and abroad. I think I probably have an approachable demeanor. During photo shoots, I cherish the time when people who are a little nervous at first start to smile naturally as we talk. I aim to provide lessons that allow people to enjoy photography not just as a "technique," but as a way to "express themselves in their own way."

Beyond basic camera operation, I carefully teach you the principles of composition, lighting, exposure, focus, and lens selection—not just how to "take beautiful photos," but how to "take photos that reflect your own style." As a professional photographer, I have extensive experience shooting numerous subjects, including celebrities and famous personalities. I've also traveled throughout Japan and visited over 20 countries, capturing a wide range of subjects including portraits, landscapes, and travel snapshots. My lessons emphasize a practical approach, not just lectures, but also hands-on practice, providing advice as you take photos. This is perfect for those who: "bought a camera but don't know how to use it," "want to take more stunning photos while traveling," "want to take natural-looking portraits," "want to learn about composition and lighting," or "want to enjoy photography as a hobby." Camera brands and models are not a concern. Beginners are welcome! Let's develop your photography skills while having fun, without overthinking photography.
