About Jinrui

I am an easy-going, positive, patient, and responsible person who enjoys communicating with people. I believe a good tutor should not only teach knowledge, but also understand students’ feelings, difficulties, and learning habits.

I am good at thinking from the student’s perspective. When students have questions or make mistakes, I will correct them in a supportive and encouraging way, instead of making them feel stressed. I always try to explain things clearly, simply, and in a way that is easy to understand.

I have participated in a rural volunteer teaching program in China, which helped me develop patience, responsibility, and communication skills. I also studied Chinese Language and Literature for one semester at university, and I have experience in broadcasting and hosting, so I have a strong understanding of pronunciation, expression, tone, and clear speaking.

My teaching style is relaxed, friendly, and enjoyable. I want my students to feel comfortable, confident, and interested when learning Mandarin with me.

About the lesson

My lessons are relaxed, friendly, and practical. I focus on helping students use Mandarin naturally in real-life situations, not just memorising vocabulary and grammar. I explain things in a simple and clear way, and I adjust my teaching based on each student’s level, goals, personality, and questions.

A typical lesson can be 1 hour, but the length can be flexible depending on the student’s needs. I can help with beginner Mandarin, daily conversation, pronunciation, pinyin, tones, basic Chinese characters, travel Chinese, study-related Chinese, workplace communication, and useful expressions for different social situations.

I am comfortable teaching different types of students, including beginners, international students, adults, young learners, and anyone interested in Chinese language or culture. I also understand many social situations, so I can help students learn how Mandarin is used in real conversations, relationships, daily life, study, work, and polite communication.

I participated in a rural volunteer teaching program in China, and I also studied Chinese Language and Literature for one semester at university before transferring to Finance. In addition, I have a good understanding of Chinese culture, traditional culture, social values, and ways of thinking. My goal is to help students learn not only the language, but also the cultural meaning behind it.
