Super Tutor

Ratana is one of our best Khmer tutors. High-quality profile, qualifications verified, organised and responsive to lesson requests, and appreciated by their students.

About Ratana

I am a native Cambodian but grew up studying in an American curriculum school in Siem Reap. I completed high school with both Khmer and American curriculums. Currently, I am a scholarship student at a university in Bangladesh. I have experience teaching in English to Cambodian students. I also taught Khmer to foreigners in Siem Reap during the past few months that I am back in Cambodia because of the pandemic.

About the lesson

I am a very flexible teacher. I teach you what you want to learn and find relevant. I have taught from all age groups so I am very patient. Khmer is not an easy language to learn but it is a beautiful one that one can learn to embrace.

Ratana's response
Don is a persistent learner, which I truly admire. His weakness would be the pronunciation but he works hard to get better. I look forward to our upcoming classes and seeing his progress. Soon he will be able to say complete sentences and have a conversation in Khmer with me!

Sean is a fast learner. It didn't take him long to pronounce the words taught, correctly. In a short matter of time, we are able to cover several topics already. I look forward to see his progress.

Ratana is one of my good friends from a university in Bangladesh. She is a very helpful person and would literally answer anything that she knows. Ratana is my cousin and we both got a scholarship to study at an English school until we both graduate high school. Her fluency in English really makes a difference when it comes to teaching Khmer. It is a tool and language to easily communicate and will help students to clarify anything that they don't understand in Khmer. Also, I've seen her hard work in gathering necessary information to develop her own curriculum for her classes.

I'm still in the early stages of learner Khmer with Ratana but I've already started putting some of my learnt words and phrases into everyday use (I've recently relocated to Cambodia). She has a fun but simple learning approach and I look forward to our next lessons.
