About Ratana

I am a native Cambodian but grew up studying in an American curriculum school in Siem Reap. I completed high school with both Khmer and American curriculums. Currently, I am a scholarship student at a university in Bangladesh. I have experience teaching in English to Cambodian students. I also taught Khmer to foreigners in Siem Reap during the past few months that I am back in Cambodia because of the pandemic.

About the lesson

I am a very flexible teacher. I teach you what you want to learn and find relevant. I have taught from all age groups so I am very patient. Khmer is not an easy language to learn but it is a beautiful one that one can learn to embrace.

Perfect! Ratana's teaching style unique. She try to cater to the needs of her students. Specially, she is handling mostly adult students who are employed. As such the needs to understand and Speak Khmer language duffer from each student. Therefore, she make her module to suit the student needs. I am happy that I selected her to learn Khmer language.

Don is a persistent learner, which I truly admire. His weakness would be the pronunciation but he works hard to get better. I look forward to our upcoming classes and seeing his progress. Soon he will be able to say complete sentences and have a conversation in Khmer with me!

Perfect! Ratana is very patient with me, has a very well thought out system and plan in place for me and is very helpful with the pronouncing of the words as they are not always spoken as they are spelt.

Sean is a fast learner. It didn't take him long to pronounce the words taught, correctly. In a short matter of time, we are able to cover several topics already. I look forward to see his progress.
