About Carol
I have helped students pass exams for proficiency in Italian, assisted IBM employees in mastering basic Italian prior to relocation, and tutored students of various levels ranging from beginner to maintaining basic fluency. I have a BA in Italian from SMU in Dallas and worked toward my MA at UNC - Chapel Hill. While in North Carolina, I taught at Berlitz part time. I have also assisted Italian students with compositions in English. In my private lessons I prefer to use a combination of formal and informal techniques, but always feel that a proper foundation includes some grammar, but I promise to make it fun!!

I have taught in settings both formal (university, Berlitz) and informal (tutoring one on one) and am prepared to meet you at your level and help you to progress. Having experienced Italy as a resident, student and even tourist, I can provide insight into whatever your needs may be. I have worked in the travel industry for over 25 years and spent many of those going back and forth to Italy. I look forward to helping you discover a language I fell in love with nearly 30 years ago!
