About Le Paysan

I am Le Paysan Bantu, a guitarist for nearly ten years. I play various percussion instruments such as the djembe, conga drum, cultural tam-tam, and maracas. In Cape Town, I played at Mama Africa Restaurant with a Marimba band for several months. I also teach guitar at a local school. In my spare time, I am a poet, a basketball player. I also enjoy rollerblading and cycling.

About the lesson

The first idea that needs to be dispelled: you don't need to have a musical background to play the guitar. I make the guitar accessible to everyone, especially beginners who are afraid to get started. My approach is more practical and creative. I can teach in English, French, and Lingala. Each new lesson will reinforce the previous one, be an exciting discovery, and bring you one step closer to becoming the great musician you are.

I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Le Paysan in various educational and creative settings, and I can confidently say he brings a rare blend of warmth, discipline, and inspiration to everything he does. His teaching style is deeply student-centered—he meets learners where they are, builds trust through encouragement, and patiently guides them toward mastery with practical steps and uplifting feedback.

Le Paysan is not just a guitar tutor; he’s a mentor who understands the emotional and spiritual journey of learning. He weaves musical technique with storytelling, helping students connect with the heart of the instrument. Whether he’s teaching a beginner how to strum their first chord or helping a more advanced player refine their rhythm, he creates a safe space where students feel seen, supported, and challenged.

I recommend Le Paysan to the Superprof community because he embodies the values of confidence and reputation. He’s consistent, honest, and deeply committed to his students’ growth—not just musically, but personally. If you’re looking for a tutor who will help you unlock your potential and enjoy the journey, Le Paysan is the one to trust.
