About Stuart

I have worked as a full time music tutor since 2002, which has included teaching guitar at various schools, conservatoriums and universities.

I have extensive experience teaching students of all ages and at many different levels, from beginner to advanced - which has included working as a specialist examiner and performance teaching fellow at the Australian National University for Bachelor of Music students.

I regularly present workshops and I also teach online regularly, delivering online lessons and creating courses and content for leading websites such as fretdojo.com

In addition to nearly 20 years teaching guitar, I have over 5 years experience teaching online and have helped thousands of students all over the world.

I take a pragmatic and step by step approach to learning and the lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and requirements.

Bachelor of Music degree (Australian National University)

About me

With 30 years playing experience I’ve covered everything from classical through to rock, country, blues, jazz and acoustic styles.

My music is regularly featured on the ABC radio and I have performed in countless musical contexts as a featured soloist, sideman and session player. I play in various bands also which includes rock, country and jazz styles.

Additionally, I regularly perform in professional musical theatre productions, such as the 2018 ‘We Will Rock You’ musical tour and the Canberra season of the 2017/2018 Australian tour of the musical 'Mamma Mia!'

About the lesson
