About Gnanesh

M.R Gnanesh Raj is an actor, director, mentor, trainer and a Mechanical Engineer. Driven by his passion for training he worked with score campus which is Singapore based educational organization. He is associated with Chennai’s leading Theatre productions like Evam and Studio 360. He has so far acted fifteen stage plays that include Aladdin for studio 360, The door and The mirror for Vaayusastra, Trubadour by Salim Ghouse, Mohammed Usmaan for DJ Ensomneacks. His script ‘Voices’ had been selected one of the best scripts in Short and Sweet south Indian Theatre festival. He has directed the same in the year 2017 and a play ‘Meenakshi Iyer’ in 2018. He has also done a few shows, presentation which integrates theatre and storytelling and street plays for corporate-like TATA and SIEMENS. He has so far trained a hundred school students in acting and has also trained theatre integrated with education and use of creative arts in subjects, experimental learning, flipped classroom, he is an entrepreneur and has a startup named ‘Svathe’ that motivates children, learn creatively through various art formats. He has worked with Notionpress.com which is self publishing platform for authors to express their ideas and publish a book.

About the lesson

The art of expressions is an influential part of the life of children. Theatre is history, psychology, sociology, anthropology, music, dance, art all wrapped into one. Children should be self expressive to flourish their creativity and improve their academics. They benefit significantly, not only in terms of exploring the unexplored but also overcoming the inhibitions and become successful facing any kind of audience or people they encounter in their lives. Numerous aspects of theatre experiences are sensory and tactile and thus children enjoy learning not just their subjects but also various features of life skills.
