About Salma
My name is Salma. Both of my parents are Moroccan and I am Moroccan American. I was born in Meknes and grew up in New York City. I speak Arabic, English, Spanish and some French. I have spent every summer in Morocco with my family and back to NYC for school. My hobbies include finding music, cooking, working out, and researching mental health.
Although I do not have teaching experience, I am very familiar with tutoring family and friends with learning writing, speaking and becoming familiar and comfortable with the English language. I am very much used to communicating with non-English speakers and guiding them patiently taking time to help them fully understand and pronounce the words correctly.

I believe that it is very important to have a curriculum and strict agenda to follow through when learning English but it is equally as important if not more, to recognize the language throughout our daily lives. Something as easy as including English language in one's rests such as time for music, social media, TV, news, etc; can make such a big difference to help the brain get used to the language more quickly and can help with memory and understanding. It's very necessary to practice the language as much as possible and when we have so much going on in our daily lives, we can practice in easier and less time-consuming ways.
