About Ricky
Hi, I’m Ricky — a passionate drone pilot, engineer, and coach who loves combining technology with creativity. My journey started with simple toy drones, just flying around for fun, which quickly grew into flying camera drones and eventually FPV (First Person View) drones. From there, I became hooked on capturing stunning aerial footage of beautiful landscapes whenever I travel, and refining those shots through video editing.
I hold a Remote Pilot License (RePL), meaning I’ve undergone formal training in drone safety and Australian aviation regulations. I take flying seriously — not just for performance, but to ensure everything is done safely and legally.
To continuously improve my skills, especially in FPV flying, I regularly train using drone simulators. This allows me to practice advanced maneuvers, build precision, and stay sharp without risk — something I also encourage my students to explore.
With a strong background in tutoring and coaching, I focus on making lessons practical, engaging, and easy to understand. I enjoy helping students of all ages build confidence, develop real flying skills, and unlock their creativity through drone photography and videography.
