About Kayode
With over a decade of dedication to the dance world, I am enthusiastic about helping and supporting my students unlock their full potential through movement. As someone who has competed, performed in various events, and been featured in music videos, I bring not only experience but a deep love for dance that drives everything I do. My teaching approach is grounded in patience, consistency, drilling and personal growth. In breaking I will focus on techniques like toprock, footwork, freezes, transitions and basic power moves. While, in Afro dance I will focus on isolations, rhythmic movement, ground movement, and expression. Thus, I ensure that you will build a strong foundation and progress at your own pace. Let's take your dance journey to the next-level together.

My approach focuses on building strong foundations with techniques like Toprock, Footwork, Freezes, transitions and basic Power moves for breaking, and isolations, rhythmic movement, ground movement, and expression for Afro dance. I strongly believe in progressive learning, breaking down moves into manageable steps, and making the class fun and interactive. Positive reinforcement is crucial to boosting confidence, and I use a combination of training to aid students in connecting different moves. The first lesson is a 30-minute video consultation to discuss your goals, your level, and how we'll reach those goals together. After that, classes are 1-hour long. Breaking classes are for all ages (beginner to intermediate), and Afro dance lessons are for beginners only. I've performed and competed in various events, and featured in music videos. Currently I teach at Upside Down Dance Academy, working with kids, teens and adults, helping build confidence and skill in their dance journey.
