Professional profile

My name is José Luis Pantoja, I have studied English since my childhood, from elementary to high school and I lived and studied in Sun Valley, California in the United States, where I studied it as a second language and in where I finished and graduated from high school with high honors and was able to learn and master the English language, ranking first in a generation of over 1000 students. In addition, I won a nationwide competition and award from the Ford company in which I wrote an essay on WWII.

Teaching profile

I am a teacher totally committed to teaching the language, I consider myself enthusiastic, motivated and responsible in all areas of my work. I am very accomplished and always willing to make an effort and give my best so that all my students can have the best possible pedagogical experience in their learning process. I am punctual and dedicated and my priority is to exploit and develop the potential of all my students every day and in each class.

Teaching Experience

I am a teacher with 12 years of experience, which I It has taught that nothing is absolute or definitive and that each student or each group requires a special approach and care regarding their learning process and that each person has to find out how it can be facilitated to learn faster and better. Every day something new is learned, in each class and in each interaction, the most important thing is the permanent and constant effort and the desire that everyone give their best.

In my experience as a teacher I have learned that patience reaches everything, but that you also have to combine it, with study, practice, effort, sacrifice and a serious dedication of the language so that it has clear results and shows a real breakthrough.

All these years as a teacher have taught me to work always thinking about the well-being of the student since with discipline and dedication you can achieve your goals, always knowing how to work as a team and give the student the confidence and the means to improve and value their learning process.

About the lesson

My educational approach and methodology

For me, language teaching must be approached from different angles, with a clear and defined method that must be set according to the level and age of the student and that always includes the four skills ( reading, writing, listening and speaking) without focusing only on one or neglecting another and with dynamic exercises and clear explanations, with books and various activities that neither bore, nor overwhelm the student, but rather motivate, help and surprise them to learn and improve every day, covering all areas of learning and that it becomes complete and comprehensive.

This method should not be improvised or poorly chosen, but from a serious and respected publisher that endorses it, such as Cambridge, Oxford or McGrawhill for giving some examples and that are from universities specialized in teaching the language. This will ensure the fidelity of the contents and the work exercises and will give the teacher and the student the confidence to work with a completely revised, edited and tested method.

Mission and academic commitment
[N ] My mission is to make each student a truly bilingual person, so that with daily practice and constant interaction they can master English and be able to communicate correctly and effectively, both here in Mexico, as in any part of the United States, Canada or the whole world who generally use it as the interlingua of our days.
My commitment is to provide them with all the means, didactic and pedagogical in the four skills and the best attitude and disposition to facilitate their learning process and guide them in all areas so that they can not only learn but also master the language, which in turn I managed to provide them with this great tool that will serve them for their future, both to continue studying and specializing or to find a better job and broaden their horizons in this multicultural and globalized world in which English predominates in all areas of our society.

For me teaching is not just a job nor does it just involve reading or giving lessons, it is much more than that, it is primarily a vocation and in which we are all participants, teachers, parents and students. My goal is not only for the students to remember me as just another teacher, but as one who tried his best and who knew how to extract the potential of each one to its fullest, leaving them the best memories in pedagogical and educational matters.
To conclude, teaching is giving yourself to others, sharing your knowledge and skills with your students and also learning from each one of them and identifying their strengths and weaknesses and helping them to polish and perfect each one of them. Always educating with an excellent attitude and willingness to adapt to them and to their differences, both personal and learning styles.
