About Jess
I believe patience and respect are at the heart of good teaching. I would never speak to my students in a way that I would not wish to be spoken to myself, and I value creating a learning environment where respect goes both ways.
As many of my students are younger, I understand the importance of keeping lessons focused and productive while still being encouraging and supportive. I strive to be firm when needed, but always kind and respectful in my approach.
I genuinely care about my students and want them to succeed. My goal is not only to help them improve academically, but also to build their confidence and make learning a positive experience.

I focus on interactive learning and believe that practice makes perfect. My lessons are designed to keep students actively engaged, so they build real understanding and confidence rather than simply memorizing answers. I tailor each class to the student’s pace, strengths, and areas for improvement, and I place strong emphasis on regular practice to reinforce concepts and improve performance over time.
Lessons typically last 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the student’s level, attention span, and learning needs.
I have over 2 years of experience as a private tutor. I currently teach two 13-year-olds and one 9-year-old, and have previously taught students ranging from 5 to 14 years old. This has given me experience working with children at different stages of learning and adapting my teaching style accordingly.
My lessons are suitable for younger students and lower secondary students who would benefit from a patient, structured, and encouraging approach.
