About Isha
I am a law graduate currently working in the legal field, but tutoring has always been a passion of mine. I find teaching incredibly rewarding, especially in the current climate where many children experienced a hit to their confidence after the disruptions of COVID. Helping students regain their self-assurance and grow academically is something I truly value. It’s incredibly fulfilling when parents share that they’ve noticed tangible improvements in their children's report cards and attitudes towards learning. Knowing I’ve played a part in that progress makes every lesson worthwhile, and it’s what keeps me motivated to continue teaching.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, with an emphasis on making learning engaging and enjoyable. I believe in creating interactive lessons that encourage active participation. I focus on building confidence in areas like comprehension, creative writing, and SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar). By getting the student involved in discussions and activities, I aim to make each lesson dynamic and tailored to their needs. Each lesson typically lasts for an hour, during which I maintain a balance between instruction and practice. I started tutoring at a tuition centre before transitioning to remote tutoring, where I've been working for the past few years. My current students are generally in Year 3 to Year 6, and I adapt my approach to suit their individual learning styles and goals. Homework is assigned based on the parents' preferences, and I ensure it reinforces the concepts we cover during our sessions. My goal is to help students enjoy English while achieving tangible improvements in their skills and confidence.
