About Grace

I am currently studying for a modern languages degree in French and Spanish at the University of Cambridge. Previously, I lived and worked in Paris for four months and I spent five months in South America. I am passionate about the importance and fun of language learning and I have enjoyed sharing this enthusiasm with the students I have tutored over the past year!

About the lesson

I can help to build confidence with speaking, listening, reading and writing practice as I am kind and patient and will support you to improve your fluency, grammar and range of vocabulary. I am very adaptable and will tailor the sessions to your aims and style of learning. As I am a non-native speaker, I am good at explaining grammar rules clearly and have many tips to remember them having learnt them this way myself! I have recently studied for Spanish / French GCSE and A-level exams so I am very familiar with the school syllabus and exam technique which I would be happy to help with. I understand that especially when it comes to speaking practice it can be intimidating to talk in class, and many students are not given the opportunity to practise for the oral exam in class time at all. Therefore, I can offer an informal, encouraging environment to practise speaking in allowing you to become more comfortable having daily conversations in your target language.
