About Christopher
I am a Language with Tourism Management graduate and am interested in using my experience to help others be able to express themselves in the language. I have lived in Spain for a year on two separate occasions, once when I taught English in a Spanish school through the organisation TEFL and then once again to study at La Universidad de Cantabria as was required to pass the third year of my bachelors course. I look forward to returning to where I started my journey with the language and helping others start their own.

In general, I would like to create a lesson atmosphere similar to that in which I started learning Spanish which is a relaxed and friendly one. The teaching methodology is simple and I believe should be kept that way at first in order to get the ball rolling in terms of finding comfort in the lesson and not feeling overwhelmed. This depends on the students experience in the use of the language but can be applied at all levels.
Lessons will be tailored to suit the purpose for which the client is learning the language. However in general the work will be broken down into three categories which are listening, speaking and writing skills. First basic verbs and vocabulary will be introduced to the student, these will be reinforced through specific exercises and recapped overall at the end of the lesson to help it stick.
This is how I would ideally like to approach the lessons with students but of course for higher level students who need to learn the language for academic reasons there will be a more specific workload pertaining to whichever exams are being studied for.
