About Roxana-Maria

I have been a tutor for the last 3 years (tutoring both online and face2face). I completed my TESOL course online recently which taught me a range of techniques to employ with my students. This, as well as my experience as a teacher in France for the last 6 months, enables me to employ the best techniques in the teaching of languages.
I have taught at least 500 lessons so far online with 5* reviews across the board. My students especially praise my patience and my ability to gauge students'level after only 1 lesson. In general, all of my students have achieved and most of them have exceeded their target grade through my help as well as my attention to their specific goals.
I am an upbeat person quality which I like to bring to my sessions and I like using different ways to make my sessions engaging such as youtube videos, listening to music, podcasts, games and riddles in the target language(s).

About the lesson

I am a positive person who enjoys learning and therefore teaching what I, myself learned through excellent teachers. I enjoy teaching a wide range of students from beginners'level to advanced and I have helped all of my students achieve and exceed their goals.
My lesson structure would look different from day to day depending on the weaknesses assessed in the previous/initial session. I tend to dedicate the 1st lesson to completing a thorough examination of the students' level and where they might need support e.g. fluency, a particular grammar point, sentence structure, pronunciation etc. I then take the results from this first session and I create a plan on how to best support the student with their needs for example, what types of activities I would be using in my lessons to aid them to achieve that goal and how these activities will enable the student to attain their goals.
I normally keep the student well-informed of their progress and after each lesson, there is a report I complete which would further enforce the topic of the previous lesson.
I use different types of materials in my lessons such as online British Council materials, Youtube videos, Facebook posts and anything that can keep the student engaged and arise their interest in the aspect taught.
