About the lesson

I use a communicative approach that prioritizes active speaking from the beginning. My method focuses on intensive learning, encouraging students to express themselves in Spanish through real-life scenarios and practical conversations. I integrate various resources such as videos, podcasts and news articles to ensure exposure to authentic Spanish.
Warm-up (5-10 min): We start with an informal conversation about the week or the student's recent events, using familiar vocabulary to build confidence.
Topic introduction (10 min): I introduce a topic (e.g., travel, current events or cultural discussions) with relevant vocabulary and phrases.
Guided practice (20 min): The learner participates in structured dialogues or role-plays. I provide feedback and correct errors on the spot to ensure comprehension.
Fluency activity (15 min): Open conversation in which the learner leads the discussion, focusing on spontaneity and fluency.
Review and homework (5-10 min): We review vocabulary and key phrases from the session, and I assign light homework, such as listening to a podcast or reading an article.
