About Kaitlyn

I am a language student in the last year of the university. I am also a full-time English teacher for students from 3 years to 32 years. Collectively, I have about two years of experience; but I have been working full time in Argentina for the past seven months. I have TEFL certification and I have taught in the USA. UU. And Costa Rica besides Argentina. At the end of my university, I currently want to be a Spanish teacher for elementary school children or an ESOL teacher (English as a second language). I work with all ages but I really love working with young children!

About the lesson

My teaching method focuses on practicality and fluency rather than repetition centered on perfection. The goal is to teach a language that can and will be used as a tool during life, rather than a "topic." My classes focus on how we can add another "channel" to the television of your mind. The student will always be the center of attention, which means that you will set the pace instead of any curriculum we have implemented. Conversation is a large part of my classes, because it could probably be the main way in which you will use this "tool" in your life, it is relevant in any professional, social, academic environment, etc. Grammar is also important and takes repition to learn and will be reflected in the classes. Vocabularly it is very important, since they are the pieces of the puzzle! There is a conscious intention regarding vocabulary exposure and we will always introduce new words on expansive topics! Language learning is not a race towards fluency, but a lifelong domain.
