About Julissa

Hi,
My name is Julissa. I'm from Colombia and my mother tongue is Spanish. I have a degree in Foreign Language education and more than 10 years of teaching experience in elementary. I have worked as an English and Spanish teacher in Colombia and USA. My last experience was as a Spanish teacher in a dual language immersion program where I worked in Kindergarten and First grade. Currently, I'm a stay home mom enjoying time with my little one, a Spanish tutor, and a TPT author of Spanish resources.

My classes are based on the needs of my students. I like to follow a Student-centered instruction model in which my students and I, as a teacher, play an active role in the learning process.

Brittany

Julissa is a great tutor. She was recommended by a friend and has been a life saver. She tutors my daughter anywhere from 1-2 times a week for Spanish. We have seen significant improvement in her Reading and communication. She is very hands on and is always willing to accommodate anything you need her to focus and work on! Very knowledgeable and trustworthy!
