About Quelin

I'm a 2020 LAMDA Graduate. I grew up in London, but I'm originally from Brazil and Chile. Prior coming to LAMDA I was in National Youth Theatre and had worked professionally, on stage and on screen, for a couple of years. I have learned a lot on the job, and have been lucky to have had world renowned traning, and so I'm very excited to share what I've learned with you!

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is simple:

It's all about YOU!

Acting is incredibly personal and so my coaching approach has to be exactly that; personal to you. Whether you need help with your drama school speeches, auditioning for a project, or simply just want to keep your muscles working.
I'm always very open with everyone I work with, which in turn allows them to be completely at ease and themselves with me. What makes you you, is what makes your pieces/audition stand out! We then work together to refine on your strengths as well as build on areas that may need a bit more attention.

I can help with:

Drama School audition prep: - We will work together in great detail on text analysis, the arch of your speech, vocal technique and movement. All in order to help you fully embody the text and the journey of your character, working towards a nuanced, grounded and engaging performance.

Audition and Self-tape coaching: - You just got an audition through that you're really excited by, but you're pressed for time and need some help? (Happens to us all!) - Not to worry, my training has equipped me with a plethora of tools that can help you make specific, engaging artistic choices with your tapes/auditions, even when you have a quick turnaround!

Samantha hasn't acted much before and so I am super excited to started this journey with her! Having shown a particular interest in screen acting, I'm looking forward to concentrating on craft and script analysis focusing on acting for screen!

She was a joy to learn from - providing me with thoughtful criticism and useful feedback each time we met. Quelin takes her coaching seriously but always maintains a playful, upbeat and kind spirit throughout the coaching session. The exercises she would guide me through were practical, fun and easy to incorporate into my routine as an actor and I continue to use them nearly every day! Her coaching has provided me confidence as a performer that I feel on the stage and see on the screen. I will certainly be calling her again for any audition/performance I may need help with.
