About Bonnie

I graduated from LAMDA's MA Classical Acting program in 2023. I deeply understand the vulnerability and bravery it takes to pursue a career in acting or to audition for your school play. I struggled with confidence for so much of my life, had teachers who worked with a “tough love” approach and made it even more challenging for me to find my voice as an artist and performer.

As a teacher I want to inspire students to believe in themselves and their work, not be an opposing force to that belief. I think about how far I’ve come in my journey because of those teachers who pushed me to be my best self without making me feel ashamed, those encouraging words that helped me keep going. My hope is to be that voice for others and use my skills and detail-oriented nature to bring out the best in my students!

About the lesson

As a LAMDA-trained actor, I have experience with a variety of techniques as skills that allow me to bring a personalised approach to my sessions, catering to each student and their specific needs. I have been teaching LAMDA exams since 2023 and have achieved Distinctions and high Merits with all of my students.

Because of my classical theatre training, I am highly skilled in text analysis and can apply this work to any text or song. My approach to acting is a blend of deep mining of the text to make specific and informed choices and finding a sense of play and spontaneity through various exercises.

My aim is always to help you build confidence and ownership over your work whether it be to prep for LAMDA exams, drama school auditions, or simply to add new songs and monologues to your repertoire. Working with ease and joy is very important to me as it leads to much more successful results and a more rewarding experience overall!
