About Adrian
I've always enjoyed nature, hiking, and learning about the world around me, which is part of what inspired me to study biology at Kennesaw State University. From exploring ecosystems to learning about the fascinating ways living organisms interact with their environments, I enjoy discovering how the natural world works. I'm excited to share my interest in biology with other students.
Outside of academics, I enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring nature. I believe learning biology is more than just memorizing information for a test; it's about understanding the world we live in. I hope to help students develop that same curiosity while making biology easier to understand and more enjoyable to learn.

My teaching approach focuses on making biology easier to understand by breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable explanations. As a KSU biology student who earned a 5 on the AP Biology exam, I understand the importance of learning the material rather than simply memorizing facts. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the topics the student finds most challenging. From there, I explain key concepts step by step, use examples and diagrams when helpful, and work through practice questions together. I also encourage students to explain concepts in their own words to strengthen their understanding and identify areas that need more review.
What sets me apart is my recent experience as a student and my strong background in AP Biology. I understand how challenging biology coursework and exams can be, and I want to help students build both their knowledge and confidence. My lessons are intended for middle school and high school students taking general biology, honors biology, or AP Biology. Lessons can be adapted to each student's current coursework, upcoming exams, homework topics, and individual learning needs.
