About Eliza

I am a friendly and approachable person who graduated with a First Class honours in English from King’s College London. I have a great deal of experience in tutoring and hold a TEFL certification for teaching English as a foreign language. I have a great interest in creative writing, so rest assured when I tell you that I would love to read yours! As well as this, I am also a professionally trained actor, having acted in numerous professional capacities over the years. As such, I am flexible and adaptable when it comes to tutoring, and always searching for the optimal way to approach each individual lesson. I also hold a valid DBS certificate.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on finding a methodology that suits you in order to ensure you get the very most out of your time with me. A lesson with me will be fun, engaging and enriching! I will suit the lessons to whatever your specific needs are, whether that be essay writing to creative writing to close analysis of poetry. I am here for you and whatever you may need. Having trouble in class with a specific text? Bring it to our lesson and let’s go over it together. Struggling to find the voice for the character in your creative writing? Let’s sit down and think about it as a team. I’m here to facilitate whatever it is that you would like to learn about.

I was recommended Eliza from a colleague to help with English tutoring for my son.
We've tried a few different tutors in the past who haven't worked out but Eliza is very accommodating for Kobe's learning needs and he has progressed a lot since she has been tutoring him. Couldn't recommend enough!
