About Faiza
My name is Faiza Rashid and I have recently finished my A levels, looking to start a BSc degree in Speech and Language Therapy in September! I am very passionate in strengthening the academic and general confidence of students of a range of learning disabilities and I hope to be able to create a difference in the lives of my students.

My approach to tutoring is centred around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual's needs, learning pace and goals.
I begin by identifying a student's strengths and areas for improvement, then create personalised lesson plans that target these areas while building their confidence. I use a combination of explanations, worked examples, guided practice and exam-style questions to reinforce understanding. I regularly check students' progress throughout the lesson and revisit topics where necessary to ensure they have fully understood the content before moving on.
My lessons are typically one hour long, although I also teach group sessions where I encourage discussion, collaboration and active participation while ensuring every student receives individual support.
I have experience tutoring students from primary level, including 11+ preparation, through to GCSE English. I have worked with students of different abilities, including those with additional learning needs such as autism and ADHD, adapting my teaching methods to help them achieve their full potential. Alongside helping students improve academically, I aim to build their confidence, motivation and independent learning skills.
Having recently completed my A Levels and with experience working as a tutor, I understand the challenges students face and strive to make lessons clear, engaging and tailored to each learner's individual needs.
