About Leslie
As a journalism and pre-law student, I had to become highly proficient with these three skills, or else I could not get through my classes and succeed. I will graduate with a Journalism BA with a law minor next year. I've been practicing and improving my reading, writing, and research skills in high school and college. I began writing when I was six years old and haven't stopped since. In all my writing classes since my senior year of high school, I have earned at least an A as my final grade. Writing, reading, and researches are my bread and butter.

TEACHING METHODS
Reading, writing, and research are skills that require you actually to practice to learn them. I cannot lecture you on how to use these skills.
- We will read literature or research and go over how to analyze them, identify critical information, and explore ways to apply what you read to your writing.
- We will learn about finding credible research sources.
- We learn how to write different types of essays, starting from brainstorming to completion.
- We will learn how to combine your reading, writing, and research skills to create cohesive work.
LESSON PLAN
Lesson plans are unique to each person. We will consider your objective, whether that is a specific assignment/task or to improve in general. We will check your understanding to understand what we need to focus on. We will figure out a time frame, and finally, we will decide on the steps we need to take to achieve our objective.
WHY THIS METHOD AND PLAN?
Not every method of teaching works for every person. I'm aware and respect that everyone has a different way of learning. As your tutor, I believe in teaching in a manner conducive to each unique individual. Tutoring cannot be one-sided. Let's work together to figure out what's best for you!
