About Joel
I'm a former postdoc at Cornell University in the Public Health Department, now in a new chapter in Australia. I hope to continue teaching in this capacity because it's something I really enjoy and find incredibly rewarding. As an ecologist, I have a huge passion for biology and the natural world that I am keen to share

I teach through key examples and tailored analogies that suit my student. Whatever is required to help the material stick! Having students mirror material back to me, and use of humour, makes a big difference.
I can tailor classes to 40-60 minutes.
I've previously taught IB Higher Level biology in 1-on-1 sessions and three different classes at Cornell University, to Bachelors and Masters students
I can teach Bio at secondary school level up through tertiary education
