About Jenna

After my own education at the University of Toronto (BA Philosophy & Visual Studies) and Brown University (MA American Studies), I moved to London, UK where I worked for over 3 years as the North American college counsellor at two prestigious private schools and for private clients in the UK and abroad. Students I have advised have received offers from top unis like MIT, Caltech, Harvard, Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Columbia, UChicago, Berkeley, and NYU (as well as Canadian unis like McGill, UofT, and UBC).

About the lesson

I specifically help students who are applying to universities in Canada and the US with their application essays. Our work together can be done with video sessions or in-document editing that is exchanged through emailed documents. While some applicants are looking for last minute suggestions before submitting their application, others need numerous revisions with supervision.

Advice can range depending on each applicant and the difficulty of their goals. Some students might need to be informed on the unsaid expectations of university admission committees, while other might need fine tuning on the writing style of their Common App essay. Besides content and style, basic checks for consistent and correct grammar and punctuation are included.
