About Matilde
My name is Matilde, I am originally from Italy and have been living in the UK for the past 5 years.
I started privately teaching Italian over 7 years ago and have loved every minute of it. I am a very relaxed teacher who strives to make learning fun and creative for each one of my students.
My main goal as a educator is to transmit my passion for the Italian culture and language through my teaching.
I have a wealth of experience teaching students aged 10 to 65+ and a track record of great achievements from them.

Together we will explore Italian grammar, work on your vocabulary and strengthen you fluency.
Lesson are usually split in three sections.
In the first 20 minutes, we will work on grammar. Based on your level and existing skills, I will select different topics and areas of focus (verbs, consecutio temporum, articles, pronouns etc).
The second part of the lesson is dedicated to Vocabulary. Through songs, recipes and short stories, we will work on expanding your vocabulary and provide you with the right tools to engage with Italian culture.
Finally, in the last 15 minutes of the lesson we will work on your speaking and conversation skills. Together we will select a topic and try to discuss it in Italian. This exercise is great for anyone who is learning the language, from complete beginners to experienced individuals.
One of my main goals as a teacher is to create a fun, creative and relaxed environment during my lessons. Learning a new language is such a great investment for anyone that wants to challenge themselves, discover a new culture and just try something new.
