About Sabrina

My name is Sabrina and I was born and raised in Italy. I recently completed an Integrated Master's Degree in Languages and Translation at the University of Essex in the UK, where I had the opportunity to teach Italian by supporting the teacher in her lessons, helping to promote Italian language and culture and organising conversation activities for students. I have a great passion for reading, travelling and learning foreign languages, an interest that has always accompanied me. In fact, I speak 3 languages fluently out of the 5 that I know!
I have two years of experience teaching Italian at the University of Essex and as a freelance tutor. I have both supported the teacher during her lessons and given individual lessons or classes independently. I have been involved in promoting Italian language and culture among students, organising activities to encourage them to communicate in Italian, prepared students for oral exams by practising pronunciation and intonation, and improved students' writing and listening skills through grammar exercises.

About the lesson

My way of teaching Italian to students is to go through different interesting topics like music, travelling, food, and culture, in the target language to learn new vocabulary. We will practise the new vocabulary by conversing in Italian, which is the best way to memorise better. I will go through different methods of teaching to adapt to the students' abilities and ways of learning. My lessons are tailored based on the level of each student.
