About Anna

After having obtained a Master’s degree in Italian Literature with excellent results, I realised I was driven to share the passion I have for this subject with individuals that had little exposure to it. During my experience as an ERASMUS exchange student in France, I had the possibility of interacting with foreigners interested in Italian language and culture; there, I first understood that the most satisfying, and perhaps worthwhile, way to employ the knowledge that I had gathered during my studies, was to explain it to others.
For this reason, I decided to pursue the Master ITALS, a course specialised in the promotion and teaching of Italian language and culture to foreigners. The course furthered the competencies I had already obtained in Italian literature, history, and culture, with the newest and most effective techniques to teach them to any age group. I had the opportunity to employ such acquired skills during a three-month internship at the Lycee International in Grenoble, FR, where I worked as a teacher assistant and was co-responsible for a class of eleven French students. My enthusiasm, dedication, and creativity in devising entertaining classes without sacrificing content, helped the students learn effectively and has resulted in very positive feedback from both the teacher responsible, and the students themselves.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is based on the humanistic-affective approach, which is an inductive modus operandi, a constant activation of the pre-knowledge of the student, as a tool to involve him both on the psycho-affective and cognitive level. This method is useful for teaching the Italian language to every age group, where the student maintains a central role, through collaboration, stimulation of personal reflection and use of creative activities.
Moreover, having lived in several countries of the European Union, I have developed a strong intercultural competence and the ability to interact with non-native speakers.
