About Clarita
I am a multilingual sport engineer originally from Italy. I grew up in Luxembourg and studied in the UK. I am fluent in Italian, English and French. I have a masters degree in Sport Engineering and a bachelor in Engineering with Management, and also have a TEFL certificate.
I have 6 years of tutoring experience and taught single individuals as well as groups of varying age and levels. I have tutored students in a variety of subjects - from languages (Italian, French, English) to other academic topics such as mathematics and physics - and have taught students in different languages (Italian, English, French).
I have also volunteered in Thailand for 2 months teaching English as a second language to a class of local Thai children (aged 11 to 16) of varying levels of English (non-speaker to beginner).

I organise my class the following way.
- Firstly, to break the ice and ease the student(s) into the class by playing a quick game involving all students. It is like a little warm up which helps everyone feeling comfortable. See cool-down activities for examples.
- Secondly, I introduce and teach the topic of the lesson. Depending on the age and level of the student(s), this is done in different ways (i.e. using a puppet, using drawings, writing).
- Thirdly, to ensure the student(s) have grasped the topic, I introduce an exercise in the form of a game (i.e. hangman, dictionary), flashcards, short quizzes, filling in blanks in sentences etc.
- Finally, to end the class and cool down the students, I introduce short activities that sum the topic taught. This is usually in the form of games such as Simon Says (also used as a warm up), taboo, and collocation games.
Depending on the age and level of the student(s) the activities described above may vary.
