About Chiara
My name is Chiara Fiorillo, I am 22 years old and I am Italian.
I lived in the South of Italy for most of my life, until I finished high school. I studied classical subjects, such as Latin and Greek, Literature, Italian (Liceo Classico). These studies made me appreciate my native language even more, which is why I started teaching Italian in London.
When I was 18 years old, I moved to London to study Journalism at City, University of London. In summer 2018 I graduated and I am now working as a freelance journalist.
I am passionate about languages: I can speak Italian and English fluently, Spanish and German at Upper Intermediate level and I also have some basic knowledge of Arabic.
When studying a new language, I find it really useful to talk to native speakers. In the past, I have used many language learning apps and I have travelled around the world quite a lot. Overall, I think that only by talking to locals, can you get a real sense of the language and culture.

I am very flexible and adaptable. I am willing to tutor people who are studying Italian either for their own interest or for study/work purposes. I think conversation is really important and, for this reason, I will concentrate on it. However, depending on your level, I will also try and enhance your knowledge of grammar and more complex syntactic structures.
