About Carolina

I am an experienced, qualified, native Italian teacher from Verona. I am currently pursuing a PhD in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. I have studied and taught foreign languages for many years, one-to-one and to small groups at all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced). I have experience teaching different ages and nationalities

About the lesson

My method is dynamic, communicative and student-centred. My lessons are fully customisable in order to adapt to the needs and requirements of the students. I have experience in teaching primary school classes, private teaching and university.

Having worked with several students with the most heterogeneous needs, I consider the flexibility of my approach a fundamental element. In my lessons I offer:

• Tutoring sessions tailored on the student to help with different aspects of language: grammar, writing, reading, listening and comprehension
• Conversation Practice
• Vocabulary development based on your needs
• Exam preparation for language certificates (PILDA, etc.)
• Essay editing and proof-reading of university assignments (undergraduate and postgraduate)
• Help with exam preparation, translations, oral presentations, essay writing, linguistics, coursework and dissertations
• Assistance with job applications – editing and proof-reading of CVs, personal statements, cover letters; help with interview preparation, etc.

I’m patient, friendly and reliable with a professional and encouraging approach that adapts to the different learning styles and needs of my students. I’m passionate about teaching and I want my students to be able to speak in Italian with confidence.
