About Priscilla
Having the opportunity to pass on my knowledge to third parties is what in the first place led me to undertake a course of study focused on linguistic and cultural areas. Since high school, I've teached in private classes to relatives or younger friends, learning immediately that each student is different: there are specific needs, different strengths and the most varied kind of motivations behind their choice to study a certain subject. In the linguistic field in particular, knowing how to understand the students and motivating, encouraging them to do more, is fundamental: it is my concern to ensure that everyone can achieve their goals by following a suitable and specific path built for them.

Italian lessons are aimed at students of all ages and levels, even at professionals. Since each student possesses different in skills, needs and aspirations, each lesson is structured according to the specifics of each one. A good portion of the lessons will focus on the student's oral and written production, these being the main obstacles while learning a language; through this, a better understanding of idioms, of grammatical forms and of syntax will take place. Learning a language is profoundly different than the study of any other school subject, which is why a passive memorization of grammar and words is essentially useless. By using a more practical approach based on the student's active production, on the contrary, memorization is encouraged. In the case of a novice student - therefore still very insecure in active production -, the first lessons will deal with more theoretical aspects, such as an expansion of the vocabulary and the simplest and most commonly used grammatical forms, all naturally supported by the construction of sentences and situations that allow immediate practical use.
