About Anais

Ciao! I’m an Italian native with a French degree and a passion for languages. Growing up trilingual (Italian, French, and Provencal dialect), I developed a "natural" ear for linguistics that I now use to help my students succeed. Having studied Russian and English myself, I understand the hurdles of learning a new language. My approach focuses on real-world interaction. Since 2019, I’ve helped students of all ages in the UK gain the confidence to speak like locals and I love seeing the results and joy that it brings to people. Let's start speaking today!

About the lesson

Based on my experiences with languages, I believe the hardest part is the transition from "studying" to "speaking." That is why my lessons are communication-led. We don't just memorize lists; we simulate real-world scenarios that prepare you for travel, work, and connection.
By beginning each session with an organic conversation, I can identify your specific areas for improvement and target those 'tricky points' with tailored corrections and activities to make it more fun and interactive. Learning languages shouldn't be boring as they allow us to travel and discover the world!

I have now had a few lessons with Mike and Tricia who are a lovely and interesting couple. They are very motivated to learn and don’t hesitate to try speaking in Italian. They are also enthusiastic and happy to do more work in between lessons. I have been enjoying doing lessons with them and am looking forward to seeing more progress.

Perfect! Anais is an excellent teacher, she makes me work hard(which is what I asked for), she puts a lot of effort in preparing our lessons, she is very reliable and also charming. Our lessons, and conversations, are most enjoyable. Grazie tanto, cara Anais!

I have been enjoying helping Geneviève improving her Italian. She is very friendly and easy to talk to and is always interested in the lessons I prepare for her.
She has already improved a lot and has more confidence even though we have been having lessons for only 2 months.

Perfect! Anais is a very organized, dedicated and experienced tutor. I enjoy her communicative, helpful teaching style. She visibly knows the Italian language very well and is helping me improve a lot quickly. She immediately noticed what my strengths and weaknesses are and is pushing me to work on the latter whilst not being overwhelming. Her weekly "homework" is a great way for me to feel prepared for the next lesson and work on my Italian in my own time. I look forward to sessions with her and afterwards always feel like I have gained new understanding of Italian. She has been observant of what I need to work on but also allows me the flexibility to request aspects I would like to cover. Overall, I have been very happy with my tutoring experience with Anais so far.

Perfect! Anais is a very organized, dedicated and experienced tutor. I enjoy her communicative, helpful teaching style. She visibly knows the Italian language very well and is helping me improve a lot quickly. Julia has already got good knowledge in Italian, she also understands well when someone speaks to her in Italian and only has some difficulties when speaking, but she is willing to learn and improve. I always find her interested during the lessons and I see she learns quickly.
