About Connor
My path as a tutor first began at Santa Fe College helping my other classmates who were struggling in our CHM2045 class. Personally, I find helping other students appreciate and understand the beauty of Chemistry very fulfilling. As a tutor, I take personal responsibility in my students' progress, whether that is in their understanding, confidence, grades, or all of the above in a Chemistry course. My main goal as a tutor will always be to help my students succeed in their Chemistry course while hopefully inspiring them to become even stronger students than when they first arrived.

My teaching method is similar to a Socratic style where I ask questions that challenge your fundamentals of Chemistry and focuses on concepts and visualization rather than memorization. It is very normal for me to use a whiteboard to draw out reactions and write the key notes for our topic.
A typical lesson plan will consist of lots of practice questions to test your level of understanding and guided instruction to establish the idea of our session topic.
As a tutor I am very adaptable and patient, I have yet to find a student that I couldn't get through to.
My lessons are for students in college/university level Chemistry courses regardless if it is a major requirement.
I prefer to do lessons at one of the libraries on UF campus, anywhere with a whiteboard will be easier for both of us.

Connor helped me through all of organic chemistry! We did face to face sessions and online sessions which was fantastic for my busy schedule. I could give him topics I was struggling on and he was able to cater the lessons to my needs.
