About Marina
I am a final year Durham University student, with 4 years of teaching experience. I've previously taught French and Spanish in the UK online, as well as English in China. Having taught students from various cultures and backgrounds has formed me as an adaptable teacher that tailors her style to the needs of every student. I am a native Spanish speaker, passionate about language and culture.

I believe the most important aspect of teaching a language is helping the student develop a passion, rather than a fear, for it. I like to start with a short review, a bit of theory and a few exercises on a particular grammar/ vocabulary point. After that, I make the student engage in conversation, make use of what they've just learned. I value the use of interactive materials, such as videos or games to do so. As previously expressed, I prefer to tailor my exact methods to every student, as everyone learns differently and we must highlight strengths and use them to help us ameliorate our weaker skills. Everyone can have a talent for languages, we must just discover what method helps us the most.

Details
If the student has a more advanced level of Spanish (A level) the rate is 16 pounds/hour just because of the amount of preparation that will go into lessons. This will also apply if the student is preparing specific material or upcoming exams, as I will need to dedicate time to research the appropriate materials. In any other circumstances (GCSE etc.) the rate will be 14 pounds. Lastly, if I need to get the bus to travel far I'd appreciate if that could be refunded (as a student this is normally 1 pound). I'm open to suggestions/ questions about prices, preparation or any other doubts!
