About Joe
I am a first year International Relations and Politics student at Exeter University. I have been tutoring for just under a year - having taught English to students from 5 years old to 16 (helping students pass 11+ exams and helping a number of GCSE students achieve A*-B grades). I often help my peers and those who ask for help with essay writing (with regards to structure, word choice and how to be concise). I love seeing positive results and will try by upmost to ensure potentials are fulfilled.

My teaching method revolves heavily around pupil interaction. I have had teachers who have spoken at me and left us to our own devices to work problems out for ourselves. Frankly, neither of those approaches are effective. Finding a balance is paramount. I feel it is important for students to search for problems alongside their teacher - if a student begins to recognise their own mistakes, they are halfway to correcting the problem and forcing it to become routine.

I’ve known Joe for over 7 years now and he has always been one of the most responsible and mature people I know.
