About Christina
I am an energetic and motivated educator with ten years of international teaching experience, and a proven track record of facilitating successful learner-focused teaching for students of all ages.
From 2010-12, I lived in South Korea where I taught students of all ages in a blended learning environment. I also resided in Saudi Arabia for 6.5 years, teaching humanities/social science courses to pre-university students, as well as serving as department coordinator. Additionally, I have served in the role of curriculum developer for numerous summer camps. I currently live in Dubai, teaching MYP English Literature at an international school.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, and a MA in Education Curriculum & Development. I also retain an active Florida state license in English 6-12, Social Studies 6-12, and Physical Education K-12.

Good teaching hinges on the relationships that are created in the classroom. Students will not be receptive to your instruction if they do not believe you have their interests at heart. You could be the most knowledgeable teacher in the world, but if students feel you do not care about them, they will not be willing to listen all that knowledge at their disposal. I create a rapport with the students by giving them a voice in the classroom, and allowing them to express their opinions and ideas. This shows them that I care about what they have to say, and, most importantly, what they have to say is worth listening to.
