About Vanessa
Vanessa is a fun-loving, talkative woman with a passion for language and communication. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, she pursued an interdisciplinary degree focused on the Romance Languages. Vanessa is fluent in Spanish, Italian, French, and English, and is still an active member of the language-learning community, pursuing knowledge of Japanese language and culture. Entering the workforce at the start of the covid-19 pandemic, she has extensive experience working, as well as giving and receiving classes, virtually. Vanessa is a digital nomad who loves to travel, and is delighted to do her part spreading the love of foreign language and culture through education.

Boost your language acquisition with supplemental lessons and conversation practice. As a multi-linguist who speaks four languages, I know that while learning a language can be very fun, it can also be difficult - but the key is always practice. I'll teach you tips on how to incorporate you language skills into every day life, so you can get the regular practice you need. A typical lesson plan consists of two parts: We'll begin with a section on fundamentals, where we'll practice grammar, vocabulary, or reading / listening comprehension skills. The second half is conversation. We'll have a chance to converse with minimal to light corrections, with a focus on fluidity and cadence of speech. These lessons are designed for beginning to mid-level Spanish learners, and will be conducted entirely in Spanish.
