About Rupert
I am an extremely enthusiastic, communicative, and inspiring tutor with extensive teaching experience acquired all over the world (including London, Paris, Nice, Megève, Montpellier, Forte dei Marmi, Sardinia, San Francisco, Toronto, Greece and the Isle of Man). I offer tuition across all subjects - with a particular expertise within the humanities - from primary to 11+ and 13+ tuition through to GCSE, A-Level, International Baccalaureate, University and mature levels. I have a First Class degree in English Literature (Hons) which included a year studying at the University of California, Berkeley on a scholarship.
Prior to attending University I attained TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification which enabled me to take up an English teaching position in Paris, France. I taught fun, interactive lessons to children and adults, and later established my own teaching business, providing lessons in real life situations. I took a further teaching post in Nice where I was the sole teacher for over 100 students of all ages, well equipping me with the ability to inspire and communicate with all kinds of people. I have also worked at a prestigious language school in San Francisco and as a private tutor around the world for a number of years.
I have helped struggling students to achieve stellar results and placements at many top schools and Universities. I am extremely inspiring tutor, and in addition to tuition can offer your student my services as a mentor and friend, arranging social activities and fun events when we are not working together, including museum trips, games, events, skiing, and water sports.
In addition to tutoring, I work in Film and Television producing and directing documentary films.
