About Gregory
With over 11 years of experience teaching drums, I work mainly with college students who want to strengthen rhythm control and musical understanding. My goal is to make learning drums simple, engaging, and effective. My teaching method combines creativity, structure, and mentorship.
I explain concepts in easy language and guide students through hands-on practice. I encourage exploration while maintaining strong fundamentals. I use innovative learning methods such as groove mapping, beat construction exercises, and tempo variation practice. I also include play-along sessions to build consistency and confidence.
Accountability is an important part of my teaching. I set clear practice goals and provide regular feedback. This helps students stay motivated and disciplined. Besides drums, I teach related topics like rhythm theory, basic notation, and performance confidence. My lessons create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
